VIDEO FEEDBACK

1.     
What have you learn from the feedback given by your friends/
peers?

Honestly, I have learnt a lot from the
feedbacks that I get from my friends. There were a lot of mistakes that I had
done in the video. I never realize about these mistakes before and I thought
that my video was good enough. So, all the feedbacks that I got really open my
eyes to view my video more critically. The biggest mistake that I had done is
that the main character which is the stickman was so dark and hardly can be
seen. Apart from that, the video was quite dull because I didn’t use the
background music. From the feedback from my friends, I am sure that I can
create a better video in the future.

 

2.     
How do you feel when your video was being commented by your peers
/ others?

I felt really grateful because my
friends willing to watch my video and leave constructive comments to help me
improve myself. Besides that, I also quite shocked because all the comments
make me aware about the mistakes that I had done in the video. So, thank you so
much to my friends that leave their comments. I really appreciate that.

What have you learn from the task (giving feedback to
your friends)?

I learn to view something more
critically and detect the strengths and weaknesses of the video. Besides that, I
learn to give feedback mannerly so that we don’t hurt our friends’ feeling. I also
found out that this task really show us that “two heads is better than one”. Or
in this case, 73 heads is better than one. We can learn from each other to make
improve our self.

Were you able to pinpoint what errors / things
which your friends need to correct?

Yes, I was able to give comments about some errors
in my friends’ videos. The errors usually about the selection of font color,
the size of words in the dialogues and etc. hopefully, my comments will help my
friends to improve their videos.

WEEK 8 – MLEARNING

AS MS. SAKINA GAVE THE LECTURE ON MLEARNING, I STARTED TO
THINK THAT THIS IS THE NEW METHOD OR WAY IN DELIVERING THE KNOWLEDGE TO THE
STUDENTS AND I THINK THAT THIS METHOD IS SO BRILLIANT AND REALLY APPRORIATE TO
BE USED IN THIS MODERN WORLD. DURING THIS MODERN ERA, I CAN SAY THAT ALL OF THE
STUDENTS HAVE THEIR OWN MOBILE PHONE AND USING IT MOST OF THE TIME. SO, AS THE
TEACHER WE CAN MANIPULATE THIS BY SPREADING THE KNOWLEDGE USING THE MOBILE
PHONE.

APART FROM THAT, IT IS ALSO PORTABLE AND EASY TO BE CARRIED
ANYWHERE AT ANYTIME THEY LIKE. SO, THE STUDENTS CAN LEARN AND GAIN KNOWLEDGE ALL
THE TIME AND NOT RESTRICTED ONLY IN THE CLASSROOM.

DURING THE LECTURE, MS. SAKINA HAD INTRODUCE A LOT OF
SOFTWARE AND APPLICATION THAT CAN BE USED TO TEACH THE STUDENTS SUCH AS MOBILE
BROWSER, FACBOOK MOBILE AND MANY MORE. REFLECT ON MY OWN EXPERINCE, I NEVER USE
ALL THESE APPLICATION BEFORE. IN FACT, I NEVER KNEW THAT I CAN DO ALL THESE BY
USING MY MOBILE PHONE. BUT, I HAD USED THE DICTIONARY APPLICATION IN MY MOBILE
PHONE AND I FOUND OUT THAT THIS APPLICATION IS SO USEFUL FOR ME. I DON’T HAVE
TO BRING THE THICK AND HEAVY DICTIONARY ANYMORE. I JUST CLICK TO THIS
APPLICATION AND SEARCH THE MEANING OF THE WORDS THAT I WANT. AS SIMPLE AS THAT.SO,
CAN YOU IMAGINE WHAT CAN WE DO AND GAIN BY USING ALL THE SOFTWARES AND APPLICATION
THAT ARE MORE ADVANCE IN OUR MOBILE PHONE???

FROM THIS, WE CAN SEE THAT THE TECHNOLOGY REALLY MAKES OUR
LIFE EASIER AND BETTER. SO, WE NEED TO APPRECIATE AND USE IT RESPONSIBLY 

RE-EVALUATION OF E-PORTFOLIO

WITHOUT WE REALIZE OR NOT, WE ARE NOW AT THE WEEK 8 AND JUST
A FEW WEEKS BEFORE WE END THIS SEMESTER. THROUGH ALL THESE WEEKS, I HAD LEARNT
A LOT OF NEW SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE ABOUT TECHNOLOGY WHICH PREPARE ME TO BE A GOOD
TEACHER IN THE FUTURE. I HAVE BEEN USING THE E-PORTFOLIO ALL THESE WEEKS TO
POST MY REFLECTIONS ABOUT THE TEACHING AND LEARNING PROCESS THAT I HAVE GONE
THROUGH. THIS IS ALSO THE MEDIUM WHERE I CAN SHARE AND POUR MY FEELINGS AND
EMOTION DURING ATTENDING THIS COURSE.

SO, AFTER 8 WEEKS USING THE E-PORTFOLIO, HOW CAN I DEFINE
E-PORTFOLIO???

FOR ME, E-PORTFOLIO IS A FOLDER OR FILE WHERE I CAN PUT AND
KEEP ALL MY WORKS WHICH CAN SHOW MY DEVELOPMENT IN MASTERING OR ACQUIRING
CERTAIN SKILLS OR KNOWLEDGE THAT I HAVE LEARNT. I ALSO CAN USE E-PORTFOLIO TO
REFLECT ON MY WORKS AND IDENTIFY MY STRENGTH AND WEAKNESSES IN THAT PARTICULAR
AREA.E- PORTFOLIO ALSO HELP ME TO STORE ALL MY WORKS SYSTEMATICALLY SO THAT
THEY ARE EASY TO BE ACCESSED BY OTHER PEOPLE.

THROUGH ALL THESE WEEKS, I STARTED TO REALIZE THE BENEFITS
THAT I CAN HAVE BY USING TH E-PORTFOLIO. HONESTLY, DURING THE FIRST WEEK I
THOUGHT THAT THIS E-PORTFOLIO IS SO RIDICULOUS AND NOT USEFUL AT ALL. BUT FROM
TIME TO TIME IS STARTED TO REALIZE THAT THIS E-PROTFOLIO IS REALLY USEFUL AND
IMPORTANT FOR ME. I CAN GAIN KNOWLEDGE THROUGH THE DISCUSSION WITH MY FRIENDS
AND ALSO HELP EACH OTHER BY SHARING INFORMATION ON WHAT IS GOING ON SO THAT
EVERYONE CAN BE UPDATED ON WHAT IS HAPPENING. WITHOUT E-PORTFOLIO, I BELIEVE
THAT ALL OF THESE ARE DIFFICULT TO BE DONE.

BUT, I REALIZE THAT I AM NOT USING THIS E-PROTFOLIO TO THE
FULLEST YET. I AM NOT MANIPULATING IT EFFICIENTLY TO BENEFIT ME. I AM JUST
UPLOADING A FEW OF MY WORKS IN THIS E- PORTFOLIO SO THAT I CAN SHARE THEM WITH
EVERYONE. BESIDES THAT, I WANT TO MAKE IT MORE COLOURFUL AND ATTRACTIVE BY
POSTING PICTURES AND VIDEOS SO THAT OTHER PEOPLE ARE INTERESTED TO READ MY
E-PORTFOLIO. I WILL KEEP THIS E-PORTFOLIO EVEN WHEN I FINISH MY STUDY AND START
TO WORK BECAUSE E-PRTFOLIO IS NOT MEANT FOR THE STUDENT ONLY BUT IT IS
APPLICABLE FOR ALL.

DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP????

DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP???

HONESTLY, I NEVER HEARD THIS TERM BEFORE. SO, I GUESS IT
MEANS THAT THE GROUP OR COMMUNITY THAT USE TECHNOLOGY IN THEIR DAILY LIFE. BUT
MY INTERPRETATION WAS TOTALLY WRONG. AS EXPLAINED BY DR RAJA MAZNAH, DIGITAL
CITIZENSHIP REFERS TO THE NORMS OF BEHAVIOURS ON HOW TO USE THE TECHNOLOGY
APPROPRIATELY. SO, IT REFERS TO THE WAY WE USE THE TECHNOLOGY FOR OUR BENEFITS AND
BEING RESPONSIBLE ABOUT IT.

AFTER THAT, DR RAJA MAZNAH INTRODUCED THE 9 ELEMENTS OF
DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP:

1. Etiquette: electronic standards
of conduct or procedure

2. Communication: electronic exchange of information

3. Literacy: the process of teaching and learning about technology and the use of technology

4. Access: full electronic
participation in society

5. Commerce: electronic buying and selling of goods

6. Responsibility: electronic
responsibility for actions and
deeds

7. Rights: those freedoms
extended to everyone in a digital
world

8. Safety: physical well-being in
a digital technology world

9. Security (self-protection):
electronic precaution to guarantee safety

 

SHE ALSO ASKED US TO ADD 5 MORE AREAS OF BEHAVIOURS INTO THE
LIST. THERE ARE MANY ELEMENTS THAT HAD BEEN VOICED OUT SUCH AS GENERATION GAP,
SENSITIVITY, ENVIRONMENT AND MANY MORE. THEN, WE NEED TO WORK IN GROUP TO
DISCUSS IN DEPTH ABOUT ALL THE ELEMENTS. MY GROUP WAS ASSIGNED TO DISCUSS ABOUT
LITERACY. FROM THE DISCUSSION WITH MY GROUPMATES, I COULD CONCLUDE THAT THERE
ARE PROS AND CONS IN THIS ELEMENT. TECHNOLOGY CAN BE VERY USEFUL AND HELPFUL IN
TERM OF GETTING THE KNOWLEDGE BY USING THE VIDEO CONFERENCE AND ONLINE SHARING.
BUT, THERE ARE ALSO DISADVANTAGES SUCH AS SOFTWARES FAILURE AND THE
ACCESSIBILITY OF THE TECHNOLOGY. AT THE END, IT RELIES ON THE USERS ON HOW TO
USE THE TECHNOLOGY, WHETHER TO BENEFIT THEM OR TO BURDEN THEM.

SO AFTER GONE THROUGH THE CLASS THAT DAY, I STARTED TO
EVALUATE MYSELF…

CAN I CALL MYSELF AS A DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP?

AM I PRACTISING ALL THE ELEMENTS OF DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP?

IM SURE ALL OF YOU ALSO THINK ABOUT IT…

SO, IF THE ANSWERS FOR THE QUESTIONS ARE “NO”..

WE NEED TO DO CHANGES IN ORDER TO QUALIFY OURSELVES TO BE
CONSIDER AS DIGITAL CITIZENSHIP

DIGITAL STORYTELLING WORKSHOP….

WHAT A GREAT LOST FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!

I DIDN’T ATTEND THE WORKSHOP….

WAAARRGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I WAS HAVING FEVER ON THAT DAY…

I KNEW THAT I MISS A LOT OF VALUABLE INFORMATION AND
KNOWLEGDE FROM THAT WORKSHOP.

FROM THE STORY THAT I HEARD FROM MY FRIENDS, ALL OF THEM
WERE ENJOYING THE WORKSHOP VERY MUCH. THEY SAID THAT THEY WERE EXPOSED TO THE
VERY USER-FRIENDLY SOFTWARES SUCH AS PHOTOSCAPE, PHOTO STORY AND ALSO AUDACITY.
SO, I TRIED TO GET A LITTLE BIT KNOWLEDGE FROM THEM ABOUT ALL THE SOFTWARES. AS
FAR AS I KNOW, PHOTOSCAPE IS USED TO EDIT THE PHOTO, AUDACITY IS USED TO EDIT
THE SOUND AND PHOTO STORY IS USED TO MAKE OR CREATE A SIMPLE MOVIE. I HAD TRIED
TO USE PHOTOSCAPE TO EDIT PHOTO. I FOUND OUT THAT THIS SOFTWARE IS REALLY
USER-FRIENDLY AS ALL THE FEATURES IN IT IS SO SIMPLE TO USE AND REALLY SUITABLE
FOR THE PEOPLE LIKE ME THAT DOESN’T HAVE ANY SKILLS TO DO PHOTO EDITING.

I BELIEVE THAT IF I ATTEND THE WORKSHOP, I WILL BE ABLE TO
BE A “COMPETENT” USER OF ALL THE SOFTWARE. BUT AS I ALREADY MISS THE WORKSHOP,
SO THE ONLY THING THAT I CAN DO IS TO LEARN ALL THE SKILLS FROM MY FRIENDS. I
REALLY HOPE AND PRAY TO THE GOD TO GIVE ME A GOOD HEALTH SO THAT I WILL NOT
MISS THE CLASS AGAIN. I DON’T WANT TO BE LEFT BEHIND WHILE MY FRIENDS ENJOYING
THEMSELVES EXPLORING AND EXPERIENCING NEW SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE IN THE CLASS.
